Lush Summer Picks

As a beauty blogger I love trying out new brands but there's also a few that are my absolute go to and I always end up loving their products. One of them is Lush.
At first, I only used Lush for their bath products but now my bathroom is full of products from massage bars to hair treatments. These made the cut as my favourites for this season.

When it's cold outside and I'm spending my day at home, I usually just end up throwing on a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. But when it comes to Summer, I love dressing up every single day! Here are three things I need to have in my Summer wardrobe.

18th Birthday Wishlist

I'm turning 18 in less than two weeks and I just can't wrap my head around the fact that I'm supposed to be an adult soon. I mean, is everything seriously just supposed to change when the clock strikes midnight?

I'll probably be spending the day sitting on the couch watching Disney films with a tub of ice cream and pretend to be a five-year-old. Yep, sounds like a plan. Anyone care to join?

Eat Smart book by Niomi Smart
I've been (trying) to eat healthier for about 9 months now and watching Niomi's "What I Eat in a Day" videos have given me lots of recipes to try and I've loved all of them! I can only imagine how many amazing recipes there's on the book.

Urban Decay Naked 1 palette
I already own Naked 2 and 3 and absolutely love the formula! They're the best eyeshadows I've tried so far and hopefully I'll own all four of them in the future. Since I've been loving warm tones on my lids recently the Naked 1 would be an amazing addition to my collection.

30 Things I Want to Do This Summer

Summer has just begun which means warm weather, lots of ice cream and swimming!

Time has flown by so quickly this year so it's important to make the most of things. I don't usually like planning my life a lot but this Summer there's definitely a few things I want to do to make it as memorable as possible.

Here's a list of the things I'd love to do in the Summer 2016! (The ones in bold are at the top of my to do list!)

4. Visit the Medieval Market in Turku
5. Go vegan for a week

Unboxing | Livbox July

This month's Livbox was all about nature. The products include ingredients from the wild and have natural scents or are unfragranced. This box contained hair- and skincare products, no makeup this month.

Schwarzkopf Professional Essensity Colour & Repair Shampoo (14,90€/250ml) and Conditioner (14,90€/200ml) both 50ml samples - I haven't tried these products yet as I'm trying out another shampoo at the moment but I absolutely love the sound of these. They don't have any additional fragrances, silicones, paraffin- or mineral oils. Then again they contain lots of amazing ingredients like marula oil, almond protein and organic pomegranate that help to repair damaged hair. They smells like pitch which I absolutely love as I like the scent of forest.

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo (6,40€/50ml) - I've never heard of this brand before but as soon as I tried this dry shampoo, I knew I liked it. It smells really natural, I quite put my finger on it though. It's suitable for all hair types and contains oat milk.
My hair looks really voluminous after applying the dry shampoo and feels clean. It can make dark hair look a bit grey from the roots though so make sure you spray it 20-30cm away from your hair.

Lumene Refreshing Foot Cream (4,90€/75ml) - I love using foot creams especially in the Summer as I like to keep my feet in good condition when I wear shoes like sandals. It contains birch which is supposed to make your feet feel fresh and honey to soften your feet. When I first smelled it I would've said it has a minty scent but maybe that just the birch and even though it has honey in it, it doesn't smell sweet at all.

ACO Moisturising Day Cream (11€/50ml) - I started using this moisturiser as soon as I noticed it in the box as I really needed a new one. The one I have is for normal/combination skin but ACO has one for dry and one for oily skin too. It feels light on the skin and absorbs quickly like it promises. My face feels moisturised the whole day and this also works well under your makeup. It's also unfragranced so it would be good for anyone with sensitive skin in my opinion.

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Gel-Fluide (17,10€/200ml) - This gel moisturiser has a very thin gel consistency and it absorbs in seconds. It's supposed to sooth dry skin and help control itching. I still haven't tried this but I think this would be perfect for Winter or any other time when your skin is really dry.

There was also a snack bar called Hula in the box and it was completely natural, no gluten, lactose or additives. The one I got had cranberries in it and was called "Wild Cranberry". I really like these kind of snacks that don't have anything redundant in them.

August Favourites

Hello loves and welcome to my August favourites!
I can't believe another month has already passed! So much has happened. Summer is officially over, everyone is back in school or work and life is filled with ordinary days again. Now without any further ado let's get into the favourites.

Proffs Dry Shampoo
In the summer my hair tends to get pretty oily and even though when it starts to get a bit colder in August it still doesn't calm down until in September or so. Gladly my oldest sister bought me this dry shampoo for my birthday. It says "Used as an lightweight mattifying refreshing booster before going out or an an intense oil fighter for oily hair. This rich non oily lightweight dry spray immediately helps to restore hair into a fresh finish." I think that sums it up just perfectly.

White Nail Polish (number 58) from Tiger
I've had a thing for white nail polish for a while now and I have no idea why. Because of that I've tried a couple of them from different brands and this one has stood out among all the others. It has such a good consistency and it's only 1€! I did a comparison between two white nail polishes where I also reviewed this one and you can read it here.

Clinique 3-step skin care system
If you have followed my blog for a while and read my July favourites then you already know that my skin has been pretty whimsy this summer.
One day I was randomly looking at some Clinique products and the Clinique assistant came up to me and asked if I was looking for something in particular. I said no and as there was no other customers at the moment she started chatting with me about skincare and makeup.
I then told her that my skin had been pretty annoying lately and she recommended this Clinique 3-step skin care system which includes the Clinique liquid facial soap oily skin formula, Clinique clarifying lotion 3 and Clinique dramatically different moisturising gel. At first she gave me a two day sample and I instantly noticed the difference and went and bought the full-sized package.

boscia Luminizing Black Mask 
This peel-off mask is absolutely amazing! When you remove it you can see all the dirt and blackheads from your pores stuck in the mask. It literally cleanses EVERYTHING from your face! It also contains vitamin C which helps your skin look bright.

Coconut Oil
On top of the delicious smell coconut oil has, it is great for your hair. I've been applying it 3 times a week and I've noticed that my hair is so much smoother, grows faster and looks healthier. I will be doing a haircare routine kind of post later on this so stay tuned if you want to know more!

Prison Break
When Prison Break came on TV for the first time in Finland back in September 2006, I was automatically hooked, at the age of 8! In August I was sick a lot so I started to watch Prison Break from the beginning, ended up watching it every time I had a chance and had finished all the 4 seasons at the end of the month.

What I've Bought | August

Hi all!
After going through some of the stuff I purchased in August I thought I'd show you guys everything I've bought, like a little August haul. So let's dive right into it!

Maybelline finally brought the Baby Lips lip balms to Finland so I went and bought all the ones they had in Stockmann (a department store in Finland)! I still have to find the orange one somewhere... These were 3,90€ each.

The Rimmel London nail polishes are my absolute favourites after Essies. I could get two for 8€ (normal price 5,70€ each) so I went for the colours 513 Let's Get Nude and 303 Raw As Night.

I've been loving my big round silver earrings so much. I've worn them every time I could since I bought them but then I realised I've many golden accessories nowadays and it would look funny if everything else was gold and earrings silver. So as one does when they're looking for accessories, I went to Glitter and bought the exact same earrings but in gold. They were 4,90€.
They had some sale bits left for really low prices so I also got the ring below for 0,50€ which is a great bargain!

The YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch in 2 Luminous Ivory *insert heart eyes emoji*. That's all I'm gonna say about it... I also can't remember the price, I think it was around 50€.

Last but not least are these brown Marco Tozzi ankle boots. These are perfect for autumn as - I'm not sure what the material is but - they're not leather so they go for any weather really. Also the height is just right, not too high, not too low. I really like the detailing as it's very simple and the knitted part at the top makes them look super warm and bring contrast. They also have a very soft insole. They were 64,95€ which I think is a great price for shoes as comfortable as these!

A Day On The Road + Special Surprise!

After spending the whole week helping my sister Anetta to recover from the jet lag she had because of her long flight from the US to Finland, me and my family - excluding my oldest sister - hopped on a car and headed towards the South coast of Finland.
We drove along the small countryside roads without any specific destination. It was great to spend some quality time away from the familiar streets of our hometown.

Seeing all the meadows, cows and farms pass by wasn't the plan of our trip though, so we followed the signs and ended up in a beautiful park with a little cafeteria - which was sadly closed - and some gorgeous old buildings!

We also found out that the park had the smallest stone church in Finland. It looked so lovely and chaste all alone up in the hill surrounded by trees and cliffs.

Being a still young and childlike pair of sisters, me and Anetta just had to try and climb on different things - me not succeeding so well as there weren't enough branches in the tree. Anetta - also called Ansku - wanted to climb on her own town sign instead!

For the lovely day out with my family I decided to wear something very casual and comfortable. See all the details below.

July Favourites

Well hello August! Again time to tell you what I've been loving for the past month.
My skin liked to have a few more breakouts through out the month than usual so this favourites post will mostly focus on skincare. Now let's get on to the best products of July!

The Body Shop Honey&Oat 3-in1 Scrub Mask
Everything you could ever wish for in a soothing mask. Smells great, has cleanser, polisher and moisturiser all-in-one and makes your skin super soft. Can you really ask for more?

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Scrub
I have tried a few body scrubs but the Body Shop scrubs are my absolute favourites. They are the only ones that really scrub away dead skin but still - at least for me - aren't too harsh. This time I chose the peach one because it smells fresh and fruity which I think is a great combo for Summer.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo +
This has really helped me to sort out all the breakouts. It decreases redness and eventually all the spots have disappeared. It's also fragrance free so it's great for sensitive skin. I think I wouldn't have survived July without this awesome product!

Sebamed Clear Face Deep Cleansing Foam 
My favourite cleansing product of all time. I have no idea why I hadn't used it in a couple of months but I'm glad I brought it back to my daily routine. It helps to keep my skin spotless and a lot brighter without drying it out.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky-Clean Scrub
Another lifesaver of the month! After washing off the scrub I can feel how every pore on my face has cleansed and my skin feels really smooth. I even had to buy another tube of this because I used it so much last month.

Maybelline Lasting Drama Black Shock Eyeliner
I usually hate gel eyeliners so when I found out that Maybelline had made a gel liner that was in a pen form I wanted to try it out right away. It goes on very smooth and lasts the whole day!

Review | White Nailpolish

Like I already told you in my June Favourites I had been really loving white nail polish and obviously still am! When I saw Kylie Jenner's nails in her Instagram picture I really wanted to try them out and after three times of redoing them with the white Depend nail polish it didn't seem to work out at all! I then decided to change the nail polish I used and noticed how much easier it was. Here are my reviews of the nail polishes.

Clothing Haul

I've gone a bit overboard when it comes to shopping recently as this is my second haul post this week. I'll just blame the sales... Joking! Everything I've bought has actually been things I've wanted/needed for long time and luckily found them from the summer sales or then just at this time in general. Everything in this haul is from Vila, H&M or Zara. Enjoy!

I bought these shorts from Vila and they are by the brand Pieces as seen above. They are normal waist and SUPER comfortable! They are actually darker than in the picture but my lighting was really bad so I had to brighten it up. Only downside in these is the sizing. I usually wear size 36 or 27/28 in inches but I had to buy these shorts in size L/XL. The smallest size looks like it's made for kids age of 10. Anyways I'm really glad I finally found jean shorts so soft and casual. They were 13,95€.

This grey shirt is from H&M. It's a bit baggy and the sleeves come almost down to your elbow. The hem is round and it's a bit longer than a normal t-shirt. If you're looking for something that is slightly baggy but not too big I would totally recommend this shirt since that's exactly what I wanted. It was 7,95€

The first thing I noticed in Zara was this cute t-shirt with lace on the top which is also baggy. They had it in navy, light - kind of dirty - brown and this stripy one I got. The lace makes such a huge difference in an otherwise normal shirt and I think I actually have a crush on this shirt (is that possible? Hah). It was on sale for 9,95€.

Next are these gorgeous knit tops I liked so much I had to get it in two colours. The top one is kind of a nude peachy one and then I got the black one. They also had it in white but it didn't suit me that well so I just went for these two. They are so light and look very flattering on. I think they will look great with a colourful bag or shoes since it has so many different colours in the details at the top. These were both 15,95€ from the sale.

Last but not least is this thin bright pink jumper. It's oversized with a v-neck and a longer back. When I tried it on in the shop in looked great and I also realised I have nothing pink in my wardrobe - gasps - so there's another reason to buy it! The jumper was also on sale for 15,95€
