NYX has been my favourite drugstore brand for a while now and every time I try something new from them I fell in love. I got the NYX Strobe Of Genius Illuminating Palette already back in November last year and even though I was obsessed with it instantly, I only started using it more this Summer. One of my favourite skincare products has always been face masks. They can completely transform your skin and make it look brand new.

I have dry skin but I still have a problem with blackheads and whiteheads around my t-zone. Also, because of the dryness, I'm prone to dry patches which can result in dead skin on my face. Healthier Hair with Aquis

I've had long and thick hair throughout my whole life (except for that one year after I got a bad haircut but that's a story for another time) and I love it! It's the one thing I really like about myself. I even remember one of my friends telling me how some people were referring to me as "the girl with the gorgeous hair". That - of course - made me extremely happy.

But then again, when you have long and thick hair, it can take hours to take care of it, style it and, well, dry it. That's the part when Aquis comes along.

Enchantment for Your Eyes from Lush

When I first heard about Lush 6 years ago, I thought the only products they carried were their bath products - probably because every Lush haul I'd watch on Youtube had only bath bombs in them.

Now that I've actually been using their products myself for a long time, I've completely fallen in love with many other ones than just the Twilight bath bomb.

I've had these small fine lines under my eyes as long as I can remember and during the past few years I've noticed that they've gotten a little, well, deeper. When I first started writing this blog, I didn't know a lot about skincare and thought because I had spots, I had to have combination or oily skin. As all of you know - or should know - it's definitely not that simple.

Ruby Red - A Nail Polish from Makiash

It's Autumn - well, technically it's almost Winter but we shall not talk about that now - and with Autumn comes everything burgundy. For me that's very convenient since I love burgundy.

Another thing I love is painting my nails. Which is kind of a surprise as I haven't been doing that much lately. However, when my September's Livbox arrived and I noticed a tiny dark glass bottle inside, I couldn't wait to get cracking and paint my nails asap!

This nail polish from Makiash has definitely become my most used one this Autumn. But before we get into the actual product, let me talk a little bit about the brand.

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette

Every beauty enthusiast loves a good eyeshadow palette and the infamous Urban Decay Naked palettes have taken over the high end section. Everyone and their dog seems to be at least talking about these palettes or have one in their collection.

I currently own two of them - and one day would love to have them all - but the one that I've been using a lot recently is the Naked 3.

I've been using this palette like crazy for the past few months and it has definitely become one of my favourites. The pigmentation on most of the shadows is absolutely amazing - like on all Urban Decay shadows usually - and the shades themselves look gorgeous!

My Go To Under Eye Concealer

Lets be honest here, I bought the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch highlighting concealer for the first time in 2013, tried it and completely forgot about it. Over a year ago when I was cleaning out my makeup collection I decided to try out the product I had so quickly criticised and ended up wondering why I had given up on it so easily! Now it has become my favourite under eye concealer.

Candy Queen of Hearts

If you had told me even 6 months ago that in 2016 I'd fell in love with blush I would've thought you were insane. Yet here we are, me going crazy over every single one I see.

The blush I've been particularly loving is the I ♡ Makeup Blushing Hearts in Candy Queen of Hearts which comes in a cute little heart heart-shaped cardboard box.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Advent Calendar | My Final Thoughts

I know, I know, December is long gone so it feels stupid to even think about Christmas anymore since everyone is probably dreaming about sun, sea and warm weather.

I really wanted to write this post though and tell you my final thoughts of the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Advent Calendar and the products in it. Let's look at the bright side: at least I've had about three months to try out the products which is plenty of time and I have lots to tell!

Packaging

I love how the calendar looks! It reminds me of a christmassy doll house, very girly and fun. I think some would say it looks a bit childish but I think it's just really adorable! The products where packed really tightly inside which made it kind of hard to get them out but then again that way they didn't fall out of their places and break. Also when you opened a door you'd find a quote or tip for the day/product which I thought is really sweet!

BLOGMAS DAY 8 | My Favourite High End Foundation

I didn't post anything yesterday as I was at a concert with my family and just wanted to relax for the day. I also didn't have the time to schedule anything during the weekend so here's the result :D. I do have many ideas coming up so I hope you're all enjoying Blogmas! :)

When it comes to makeup, matching foundation has always been my worst nightmare. In general I'm a very yellow toned person but my face has redness and is lighter than the rest of my body. That's why I usually need a light-medium shade that's really yellow which can be really hard to find especially from the drugstore (you can read all about my favourite drugstore foundation here)

Anyway, today I'm going to tell you all about my perfect foundation match from the high end side. It's the infamous NARS Sheer Glow in the shade Light 6 Ceylan. NARS foundations are very yellow toned in general so they're perfect for people who need to find a yellow foundation.

BLOGMAS DAY 3 | Lush Has Frozen

Everyone has seen or heard about the award-winning Disney film called Frozen that blew up the world at the end of 2013. Ever since Frozen has been seen in different items like mugs, pyjamas, notebooks, advent calendars, the list goes on and on. Most of these products are of course aimed for children but this Autumn Lush came out with a Frozen themed product anyone can enjoy. That would be the bath bomb called Frozen (duh).

Even though it's already November, and Winter is on it's way, we can still talk about Autumnal lipsticks right?
I don't own many liquid lipsticks but they're still my favourite lip products! In my opinion they're so much easier to apply than regular lipsticks, much more pigmented than lip glosses and usually really creamy in texture.

Best Drugstore Foundation

Ever since I got into makeup I've always had a problem of not finding a base that would be the right shade. I've have a light skin with yellow undertones and every foundation - at least in the drugstore - seemed to be either too pink or dark.

When I finally decided to ask some recommendations from fellow beauty bloggers, I was introduced to the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. Sadly Bourjois isn't sold in Finland so I had never heard of it before. I finally decided to order it from feelunique.com almost a year and I'm so glad I did!

There's one thing probably every makeup enthusiast hates to do: wash their makeup brushes. Then again, it's really important to keep your tools clean, so all of the bacteria doesn't get onto your face and cause breakouts and all that other not so wanted stuff.

Fortunately, there's a tool to make brush cleaning a lot more easier with only under $4! Let me introduce you to the Brush Cleaning Egg*. I'm definitely one of those people who don't wash their brushes as often as they should. I feel like it takes ages and when your brush collection is growing all the time, it just isn't one of those tasks you look forward to.

Whenever I buy a new foundation these days, I tend to go for liquid ones. I think they are easy to blend and most the time the packaging has a pump so the product is easily accessible.

Best Bronze Eyeshadow

I've always been one of those girls that have always loved eyeshadows but haven't really known how to blend them correctly or tell what shades go well together. Few months ago I finally decided to start experimenting more with every product in my makeup collection - including eyeshadows.

In my opinion my skills are slowly growing and now I love doing different eye looks even though some of them might take a few tries.

Extremely Affordable Makeup Brush Set

I was looking for new makeup brushes at the beginning of this year as I don't have that many yet and even though brands like Zoeva are amazing in quality and very affordable I was looking for something even a bit more cheap. I then saw Amy Macedo's video on Jessup brushes and thought I'd try them out. You can get these brushes from Ebay or Aliexpress and I got the whole brush set for £11.02 with free shipping which is absolutely insane as it has 15 brushes. At first I thought that they are way good to be true but I thought I'd try them anyway, ordered them and fell in love.

Micellar Battle | Garnier vs Nivea

Hi all! I hope you had a lovely Easter break :).

I decided to take a small break myself from blogging/social media (I did post some things online) and actually went on a 22h cruise which left on Saturday evening - I'll probably write a small post about it and tell more with some pictures.
Anyway, now that I'm back I'm finally going to share you the post which was supposed to be up two weeks ago so if any of you catched my tweet about this post and have been waiting for it, then here it is!

Micellar waters are something that have received a huge hype around them ever since the first one launched. Personally I got myself my first Micellar water - which was the Garnier one - only at the start of January and have been using it since. Today I'm going to introduce you to two Micellar waters from different brands that are both from the drugstore - Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and Nivea Sensitive 3-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water.

Lip Liner for All Lipsticks

When it comes to my daily makeup I never used to wear lip liner. However, since I got into using more lipsticks last Autumn, I've been on a hunt for good but affordable lip liners - especially for those dark lipstick shades. Unfortunately the colour choices for lip liners here in Finland is pretty limited if you don't want to spend a lot of money on them. Also ordering a lip liner online can quite frustrating as they probably won't be the same shade as it looks on your laptop screen. 

Fortunately when I was doing some makeup shopping with my sister back in December I found the IsaDora Perfect Lipliner in 80 Transparent. For me it's the perfect lip liner as I don't always remember to use them and it goes with absolutely every lipstick shade I own! Now I don't have to invest in every lip liner shade that I need, unless I want to of course. 

As for the lip liner itself, it goes on the lips very easily. It does feel a bit waxy so if you've dry lips, you probably need to moisturise first (personally I do this before any lip product even though I don't have dry lips). Despite the consistency, in my opinion it doesn't feel uncomfortable or drying on the lips and you don't feel it at all after applying the lipstick you want to use. Also lipsticks - all finishes - glide on just as easily as they would on bare lips and stay on a whole lot longer.
