Every beauty enthusiast loves a good eyeshadow palette and the infamous Urban Decay Naked palettes have taken over the high end section. Everyone and their dog seems to be at least talking about these palettes or have one in their collection.
I currently own two of them - and one day would love to have them all - but the one that I've been using a lot recently is the Naked 3.
I've been using this palette like crazy for the past few months and it has definitely become one of my favourites. The pigmentation on most of the shadows is absolutely amazing - like on all Urban Decay shadows usually - and the shades themselves look gorgeous!
This palette comes in the same sturdy metal case as Naked 2 with a brush and 12 shadows inside. Compared to the Naked 2 the only differences regarding the packaging are the colouring (that matches the shades inside) and the wavy texture on the case.
Now let's see what's inside!
This palette comes with the exact same dual-ended brush as Naked 2 but again it matches the shades themselves. Personally I like to use fluffier brushes to apply my eyeshadow but this one is great if you like denser brushes or want even more pigment. There's also a huge mirror and the 12 rose gold, brown and plum shades!
Strange - very pale neutral pink
Dust - pale metallic pink with shimmer
Burnout - peachy pink satin with hint of shimmer
Limit - light dusty rose matte
Buzz - metallic rose
Trick - metallic pinky copper
Nooner - medium pinky brown matte
Liar - medium metallic mauve with shimmer
Factory - pinky brown satin
Mugshot - metallic shimmery taupe
Darkside - deep satin taupe
Blackheart - smoky black with rosy glitter (makes the shade look purple)
All of the shades perform really well even though I wish few of the lighter shades were more pigmented. Even though they all swatch nicely when I apply Dust with a brush all that seems to picked up is the glitter and not the "whole" shade. When using a wet brush it looks exactly the same as in the pan though. There's also some fallout on all of the shades but that doesn't bother me and I've noticed that usually it tells that the shadows are soft and blend easily.
My personal favourites from this palette are Burnout, Limit, Trick, Nooner and Liar. For my signature matte look using this palette I put Limit all over the lid and Nooner on the crease!
