Essie Fiji

Essie is hands down one of my top 3 nail polish brands and I've always been lusting after the shade Fiji. Unfortunately Essie polishes are quite expensive here in Finland so I've never really bought any even though I love them so much.

Last month I went shopping in Tampere - if you follow me on Snapchat (anuadeliina) you might remember - and they were having an event called "Värien juhla" (raw translation: Celebration Of Colours) in Sokos.

Because of the event, you could get your nails done for free and since I had some time to kill, I decided to get them painted with Fiji. Whilst the girl painted them, she told me that all of the Essie polishes were also on sale! Of course I had to buy the shade I had been lusting after for so long.

According to Essie's website Fiji is "an opaque creamy pale pink". If you really want the colour to look the same as in the bottle you definitely need two coats of this but then you're good to go! I hate pale nail polishes that need 3, 4 or even 5 layers before you get your desired coverage but Fiji isn't one of them.

Like with any other Essie nail polishes the wide brush makes the nail polish go on really smoothly and effortlessly. It stays on for 5 to 7 days or even longer depending on whether you've used a base or top coat. With two layers of Fiji and one layer of top coat the nail polish stayed on for over a week!
